The composite suspended edge has the characteristic of zero value self breaking. As long as it is observed on the ground or on a helicopter, there is no need to climb the pole for piece by piece inspection, reducing the labor intensity of workers.
The product introduced from the production line has an annual self breaking rate of 0.02-0.04%, which can save maintenance costs on the line. Good arc resistance and vibration resistance. During operation, the new surface of the glass insulator that is burned by lightning is still a smooth glass body with a tempered internal stress protection layer. Therefore, it still maintains sufficient insulation and mechanical strength.
Multiple disasters caused by conductor icing on 500 kV lines have caused galloping, and the composite suspension insulator subjected to conductor galloping has not experienced any degradation in mechanical and electrical performance after testing.
